Marriage and Family Life in South Africa
註釋The family is a key institution in all societies and the importance of a well-integrated family life cannot be overemphasised. South African society has been subjected to far-reaching changes which, especially since the Second World War, have caused mounting tensions in the family life of the various population groups, making the family itself increasingly vulnerable. The increase in family breakdown in South Africa with its widespread negative consequences for society in general and for personality development in particular, eventually led to calls for multidisciplinary research into the family life of the different groups.
