Robert Brown, a native Kentuckian, spends much time outdoors. Living in the rural area of Rose Hill in Mercer County, he and his two sons have spent a great deal of time outdoors, hiking the woods, canoeing Salt River, and building forts among the locust trees. One of his outdoor passions is gardening. At an early age, his sons have helped him in their small garden planting and raising a few vegetables. It was during one of those days when his first born, Tyler, after helping pick a variety of differently colored and shaped vegetables proclaimed, "Daddy, you grow colors."
