A kind of all-solid state NiO-WO3 complementary electrochromic device using LixMyOz thin film as inorganic electrolyte was designed and prepared based on the electrochromism of nickel oxide films proposed by authors. The performances were investigated using cyclic voltammetry, reflectance spectra and impedance analysis. The results indicated that it has excellent dynamic range in vis-nir, cyclic reversibility and response time less than 0.3sec for coloring and bleaching. [Authors' abstract].
