Contemporary Developments in Tibet: Juxtaposition with International Human Rights Law
註釋This handbook has been specially crafted by keeping in mind the needs of researchers who are not from a legal background and are working on the human rights situation in Tibet. An academic from any social science discipline will have a perspective on human rights, which is a testament to the depth and width of the field. The legal perspective, however, gives gravitas to assertions and arguments, since it illuminates the obligations and duties that States and International actors are bound by. Even though there is a wealth of information readily available on the internet about the law, wading through the sheer volume of the material can prove to be an uphill task. To address these concerns, this handbook offers a comprehensive view of the most fundamental human rights paradigms applicable to the current situation in Tibet. It is an endeavour, therefore, that the handbook can be appropriated and read by both researchers and layperson.
