Direction Finding for Distributed Signals
註釋This report examines the problem of estimating the directions of arrival (DOA) of distributed signals. It first establishes a mathematical model and derives the correlation matrix of a distributed signal. Examples of signals with different distributions are presented. The important properties of the correlation matrix are studied to reveal how the dimensionality of the signal subspace can be approximated to a number usually much smaller than the number of sensors. From this observation and utilizing the orthogonality of the signal & noise subspaces, two groups of algorithms (DISPARE & VEC-MUSIC) are developed. Computer simulation examples are performed to assess the performance of the algorithms under various environments. The robustness, accuracy, flexibility, and capabilities of the algorithms are compared.
