Consists of a diary kept by Elijah Evan Edwards of Indiana while he was stationed near Nashville, Tennessee with the Union Army during the Civil War. The diary describes camp conditions and also includes sketches of the steamer Killman on the Mississippi River in 1864 and Fort Negley in Nashville.
