The death of George Reddy triggered the student community in Osmania University to build many new student organizations and movements on the basis of a Left ideology. Many brilliant students from the University agitated on burning social, cultural and economic issues, serving as a beacon to the youth of the day. It is now forty years since the death of George Reddy. Through this work, we have endeavoured to introduce the many facets of George to the present generaton of students. It is our hope that at least a few readers will be inspired by the example of George and become pro-active towards the current issues.
