The Interfacing of a Personal Computer with an Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer
註釋Apple IIe microcomputers have been successfully interfaced to Hilger Analytical E1000 simultaneous atomic emission spectrometers. This was done at reasonable cost, and low complexity was retained, yet maximum flexibility was achieved. Controlling and data-processing software was written and is in daily use for service and research work. The hardware and software has proved to be very reliable and easy to use. The BASIC software currently in use is regarded as a basis for future development. While minimal modification will be required for service analysis, the programs can be modified to suit individual requirements. A program for the statistical treatment of data has been added, and future modifications could include more quality-control measures, correction for spectral interference, and the integration of simplex optimization methods. However, it is anticipated that a microcomputer system with a larger memory and greater disk capacity will be required.
