Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Landscape Studies
註釋Landscape researchers and managers are often asked help solve environmental and societal problems and so must develop interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary skills. Interdisciplinary research creates new knowledge by integrating people from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Transdisciplinary research adds an extra level of integration by involving non-academic stakeholders. This book describes the opportunities and limitations of these approaches. It discusses the expectations of policy-makers, funding bodies, stakeholders and scientists, and explores problems, successes, the need for specialist training and the development of evaluation criteria.
