Electron microscopy studies of the recombinant baculovirus (recHNAF224) expressing the HN gene of NDV indicated various morphological differences compared to the wild type baculovirus. Chickens given two doses of the killed recombinant virus (RecHNAF2240) with adjuvants showed high HI antibody titer. The ELISA test and Western blot analysis indicated an HN-specific antibody response. [Authors' abstract].
