Chaucer Aloud
註釋The essays in Chaucer Aloud, written by several prominent Chaucer scholars, take up important questions of interpretation that emerge in critical readings and in oral performance of a few sample works from the Canterbury Tales. The figures of the Prioress, the Pardoner, and the Merchant are the key characters/tale tellers "on paper" and "on tape." Also, some of the "on paper" essays focus on later receptions of Chaucer from the 15th through the 18th centuries. A recording of this work can also be found on the Bloomsbury Medieval Studies platform, providing further support for those seeking to improve their understanding of Chaucer's works.
