Neville Chamberlain and Appeasement
註釋This is the first extended historiography of Chamberlain's prewar diplomacy over a 55-year period. Commencing with the initial support and criticism of appeasement from 1938 to 1939, it illuminates the volatile debate that saw Chamberlain's historical reputation suffer so greatly in the Cold War years. The prewar scenario facing Chamberlain was a great deal more complicated than many historians would care to admit.
