The Impact of Mixed Population Public Housing on the Quality of Life of Both Elders and People with Disabilities
註釋This study investigated the impact of mixed population public housing on the quality of life of both elders and people with disabilities. Quality of life can affect multiple aspects of one's life including physical functioning, cognitive ability, mood and social functioning. This was a descriptive study of tenants of the East Hampton Housing Authority using survey research methods to draw some tentative conclusions. The strategy used was purposive sampling and the quality of life and social environment survey was transferred to a paper format and broken down into separate question groups. This resulted in sixteen completed surveys that were analyzed with the result being that the participants at the East Hampton Housing Authority were satisfied with their housing. Further studies of this kind could benefit other mixed population communities.
