The Mormons
註釋Kane was an American attorney, abolitionist and military officer who was influential in the western migration of the Latter-day Saint Movement. He received a promotion for gallantry during the Battle of Gettysburg. A thousand copies of Kane's 1850 lecture were printed and distributed primarily to member of the US Congress and it was reprinted in Mormon publications. Kane was offered the position of first governor of Utah but declined and recommended Brigham Young.
