Schele de Vere is to be sent on a "foreign mission to Germany" and will travel on "a Government vessel to Nassau." From Nassau, he must pay his own passage. Schele de Vere asks Thomas to inform him if tobacco would find "a ready sale at Nassau" and what the probable price to be obtained would be.
