註釋 This report reviews historical data since 1994 related to snow crab fisheries & stock assessments for south-west Nova Scotia. It includes information on snow crab biology & distribution, fishery licenses issued, and research materials & methods used, and presents results with regard to fishing effort distribution, snow crab landings, fishing effort, total catch from fishery data, and size & condition of crabs caught in a trap survey. The results are discussed with regard to fishing patterns, catch rates & effort, snow crab distribution in the study area, and population structure. Finally, recommendations are made regarding fishery management and further research.
