William Robert Powell, Jr. was born in about 1776 in Albemarle County, Virginia. He married Mary Poston, daughter of Anthony Poston and Elizabeth, 18 March 1796. They had six children. He died in 1863 in Marion County, South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina.
