Tetracycline was improved in 1953 and came into industrial use in 1978. Tetracycline, marketed under the brand name Sumycin amongst others, is an antibiotic utilized to deal with lots of infections. Including acne, cholera, brucellosis, plague, malaria, and syphilis. It is majorly consume by mouth.

Common side effects include nausea, rash, and loss of desire. Other negative effects include inferior tooth growth if used by children over eight decades old, kidney problems, and sunburning readily. Using tetracycline through pregnancy may damage the infant. Tetracycline is in the tetracyclines family of drugs. It works by blocking the ability of germs to generate proteins.
