Tibial Lead Determination by XRF
註釋Occupational Exposure of workers to lead in various industries has long been recognised as a health hazard, and concern over environmental exposure continue to be expressed. A measurement of blood lead gives an indication only of recent exposure and the preferred method for determining cumulative lead exposure is to measure cortical bone concentrations in vivo. This presentation describes two approaches to measuring tibial lead content by XRF. The first technique refers to the use of an external 99m Tc radiopharmaceutical and results from a pilot study will be presented.
