This study revisits past studies of security in the Strait of Hormuz. Since Iran appears poised to obtain nuclear weaponry and is threatening to close the Strait, this study recommends updating previous studies. It concludes that those studies believe the value of alternatives to using the Strait are increasing, something that updates will likely confirm.
