Catches and Trawl Locations R
註釋The R/V G.B. REED and the Canadian commercial trawler M/V EASTWARD HO surveyedQueen Charlotte Sound to assess the biomass of Pacific ocean perch. Astratified-systematic survey design was used, occupying stations in each36.5 m depth interval along selected Loran C lines, between depths of 146to 291 m. Biomass estimates, based on the door spread as the effectivepath width of the trawl, for Mitchell's Guly were 2512 plus or minus 84% tand 2401 plus or minum 119% and for Goose Is. Gully were 6763 plus or minus64% t and 16,201 plus or minus 54% 5. The second purpose of this surveywas to compare catch rates between the G.B. REED and the EASTWARRD HO. Results of this preliminary comparison indicate that the cach ratio for theG. B. REED/EASTWARD HO is approximately 1.49.
