Field notes Vol. 461 documents William C. Steward's botanical collecting in Brazil in 1977-1978 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition, with co-collectors including K.P. Dumont, W.R. Buck, E. Freire, D. Hosford, G. Samuels, I. Araujo, J.F. Ramos, J. Ribamar, and G. Rogers. It consists of a list of specimen numbers 1-524, collected November 1977-January 1978 in Roraima and Amazonas. The list contains number of sheets, description, and herbarium determinations. Collection locations and dates are also noted. Also included is a list of specimen numbers 2514-2825 collected by James Lee Zarucchi in Amazonas, Pará, and Rondônia, August-October 1979. Following is a list of specimen numbers 11-313 collected by João Ubiratan Moreira dos Santos in Acre and Rondônia, February 1978.
