O grotesco em alguns contos selecionados de Miguel Jorge e Julio Cortázar
註釋On the other hand, Cortázar displays a social existential questioning which presents the individual in its social context. For this reason, the problem of isolation and lack of communication are constants in his texts. In neither radically disagreeing with one specific theory nor embracing all with the same intensity, I have attempted to illuminate the texts assuming an eclectic standpoint, and with an open perspective in regards to the theorization of the grotesque. Through the integration of different theories in this study, the theoretical concept was amplified, contributing to new insights in this developing field. This is one of the important aspects of this dissertation, as it opens the way for future studies on a possible revision of the grotesque and it's applicability to literature. Finally both writers write about the condition of man in society, with his ambivalent behavior, and explore a carnavalized literature in which the presence of the grotesque corresponds to the signs of their times. In this sense, this dissertation opens roads for the exploration of new cultural-artistic studies not only in Latin America but also in the rest of the world.
