The book is written as per the syllabus of the subject Microprocessors and Interfacing Techniques for S. E. (Computer Engineering), Semester-II of University of Pune. It focuses on the three main parts in the study of microprocessors – the architecture, the programming and the system design. The 8086 microprocessor is described in detail along with glimpses of 8088, 80186 and 80188 microprocessors. The various peripheral controllers for 8086/88 are also discussed.
