The Face of the Earth
註釋A study of earth sculpture that includes discussions on the formidable effects of glaciation, the continuing unease of the earth's crust, the drastic shrinkage of streams throughout huge areas of the globe, the fluctuations of desert margins, and the former wide extension of humid-tropical climate. Two themes run throughout: the sequential development of landscape and the changes imposed on the course of that development by changes in climate.
