Chinese Women and Their Cultural and Network Capitals
註釋Women rely on social and network capital both within their own community and, especially for those who have migrated to another country, outside of their native social environment. In both cases, whenever possible, they would rely on the traditional network resources, but if they are unable to do so, then they create new sets of network capital to further their own needs. To do so, they need to have some form of social capital, and this comes in the form of knowledge, skills, and social relationships. The objective of this book is to explore how Chinese women create social and network capital and use these resources to further their own interests in social and economic positions as well as to cope and adapt to a rapidly changing environment today.
