Has the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act Been Implemented in Sioux Falls?.
註釋A recent fire alarm incident that took place in a hotel that I was staying in while on vacation, prompted me to be concerned about my community's implementation of the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990. The law eventually mandates that federal employees on travel must stay in public accommodations, for example, hotels, and motels and other transient occupancies, that adhere to the life safety requirements in the legislation's guidelines (FEMA, 1981). Although the law has been in existence for several years, it is apparent that many hotels and motels are neither familiar with it, nor have they implemented its requirements. The purpose of this applied research project was to determine what effect the Hotel and Motel Safety Act of 1990 had on the industry in my community of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
