The first part considers the differing information requirements for different levels of decision making in education and a review of established educational information collection practices. The third considers two areas where many countries have experienced difficulties in the collection and use of educational information: the dialogue between the producers and consumers of information, and the technical issues associated with the collection, preparation, and analysis of information.
