Recollections of a Drunk Trader
註釋Recollections of a Drunk Trader is a cultural rhetoric from the perspective of one who has consistently outperformed financial markets. The journey begins with the mysterious and inexplicable origins of human civilisation and how the store of knowledge and wisdom from the ancient Egyptians has shaped the thinking of the most significant contributors to our modern society. The celestial phenomenon of the 5000 year old Egyptian religion is the foundation for the most influential religious theology still in existence today. These religious and philosophical traditions were a significant contribution to the cultural upheaval of the 14th to 17th century, commonly known as the Renaissance or rebirth. Our current cultural paradigm is exposed with the unveiling of the lesser known and poorly understood functions of financial markets and our 'democratic' western society. With a modern understanding of our neurological dispositions and from the perspective of one who has turned these understandings into a tangible skill set, we take a brief look into the chemical experiences and altered states of consciousness, both modern and from a historical perspective, for the purposes of highlighting the depth of our human condition and the power it holds to set the stage for the next (inevitable) cultural renaissance or rebirth of our modern civilisation. One that this author believes is in its infancy at present.
