註釋

This novel tells the story of Lucy, a middle-aged woman who experiences the bliss of boundless love – with a man she meets on a cruise – until she falls hard when reality bites. The romantic relationship itself is only hinted at in flashbacks. Instead, the story focuses on Lucy's personal development and healing process on her path to self-acceptance as she learns one of the most important lessons of love: how to let go.

Moving from past to present following Lucy’s experience on the cruise, the story guides the readers’ attention to her deepest emotions and fundamental realisations about life and love through seemingly inconspicuous events in daily life.
