New Dimensions of Contrast Media
註釋The recent revolutionary progress in the field of radiology is largely due to contrast media. Twenty years after the discovery of non-ionic water-soluble contrast media, new low-osmolar non-ionic triiodinated agents are used worldwide. The reduced osmotic load of these contrast media have reduced pain and increased their acceptance. Research is actively searching more effective and less expensive formulations as well as even newer agents. The development of contrast enhancement media for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), for example, is a new and rapidly evolving science. With expansion in the use and application of contrast media across a wide range of medical specialties has come a growing need to share scientific information and clinical experience. This volume presents the most current research in the field from eminent young researchers and those involved in industry. Its purpose is to broaden the audience and stimulate scientific dialogue in an area of growing clinical importance.
