With the increasing use of regional isolation and perfusion techniques, a simple, inexpensive low-volume blood oxygenator is a valuable asset to any hospital or surgical laboratory. An oxygenator of this type has been constructed for use in our laboratory. It provides flow rates up to 300 cc per minute and adequate oxygenation with an oxygen flow of 4 to 5 liters per minute.
