註釋The collection includes a detailed newsclipping account of the trial from the Boston Daily Advertiser as it transpired in the Supreme Judicial Court in March 1850. There is also an indexed booklet containing the depositions of various witnesses for the prosecution, including scientists, physicians, police detectives, the janitor who discovered the corpse, and relatives of Dr. Parkman who identified his remains. Several depositions contain detailed scientific analyses and mearsurements for purposes of identification.
