註釋"This exhibition, As it is on Earth II, focuses on environmental imbalance and the recovery of native species. A series of etched shield-shaped plates showing the forms of endangered birds hang from the walls. The burnished steel and etched images produce a "living play" of light and shadow directly onto the wall surface. Additionally, Irish Yew has been added to Nicholls' palette - its symbolic connection with transformation and rebirth, making its use appropriate and poignant. The carvings depict scenes from the wheel of life; bird as hunter and hunted, man as destroyer and preserver. A large abstract work, Withstand, forms the centrepiece, its title denoting nature's strength in the face of human destruction. This exhibition follows on from the exhibition As it is on Earth I which was shown in Dunedin in 2011."--Publisher website.
