The Dead Still Cry Out the Story of a Combat Cameraman
註釋A biography memoir of Mike Lewis, a combat cameraman in the British Army Film and Photographic Unit in WWII. Using detailed research, his daughter Dr Helen Lewis pieces together the story of a young Jewish man from the East End of London, who escaped the awful slaughter of the battle of Arnhem (A Bridge Too Far) only to face his hardest task of the war, filming the Liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. In unpacking his history, she is able to face up to her own horror at finding photographs of the atrocities committed at Bergen-Belsen when she was just a child.
