註釋Biography of Henrietta (1644-1670), daughter of Charles I of England and his wife, Henrietta Maria of Navarre (daughter of Henri IV of France and Marie de Medicis). Henrietta was a sister of Charles II of England, of course. She married Philippe d'Orleans (1640-1701), son of Louis XIII of France and grandson of Henri IV of France (and therefore a cousin of Henrietta). Marie Louise, daughter of Henrietta and Philippe, married Charles II of Spain (1661-1700). For some years, Henrietta served as a trusted communication link between Charles II of England and Louis XIV of France.
