In 1986, the Fisheries Research Branch, Pacific Biological Station, Nanaimo, conducted for the 3rd year a Troll Log Program on the West Coast of BritishColumbia including the inside waters of Georgia Strait. The program involved97 commercial fishing boats, providing catch per unit effort of troll caughtsalmon in different statistical areas of the west coast, and obtaining preciseinformation of coded-wire tagged salmon and steelhead as to the location oftheir capture, as well as their size, age and origin.
