Nutrition and the World Food Crisis
註釋Abstract: The text reviews current knowledge relating to malnutrition, surveillance and nutritional status, food production and distribution, population, and education and policy making. An understanding of the issues is a foundation for further study into hunger, malnutrition and resolution of problems through public policy. Problems are seen on a global basis but emphasis is placed on less-developed countries. Factors presented which contributeto the current world food and nutrition crisis are discussed through 1) the nutritional status of the world's nutritionally deprived; 2) review of international agriculture and food production and 3) factors influencing food distribution.
