註釋Adventure fiction. Imagine you wake up one morning and discover that a pandemic is sweeping the country and you can't leave your house. You have to stay home for more than a few days - possibly weeks and maybe even months. Pretty soon you'll run out of food, there'll be no electricity, no telephone, no internet and the only people you can count on are your family and closest neighbours. For 12-year-old Zac Flint and his family this is the reality they face. In the small town of Hansen the inhabitants wait for the pandemic to hit while calling on their own resourcefulness to survive. Written in the form of a diary it highlights the tenuous nature of today's communities and the challenges we face when our most basic needs are threatened.
