Teachers' Perception of the Effectiveness of the School Social Worker in General Education & Special Education
註釋A better understanding of the school social worker's role and responsibilities is essential to the success of the student's achievements and goals. How teachers' perceive that role has implications on how educational services are delivered to the student. The purpose of the study was to explore how teachers' perceive the role of the school social worker and the school social worker's effectiveness in the general education and special education school setting. The study takes place in an urban lower income district where the participants are the faculty. Participants were asked to strongly disagree, disagree, neither disagree/agree, agree or strongly agree with statements based on the School Social Worker's role/responsibilities in the school setting. The results indicate that teachers' perception of the role of the school social worker and the expectations of the school social worker in the educational setting are consistent regardless of the amount of teaching experiences.
