"This volume presents the results of treatment activities for five significant prehistoric archaeological sites that were found on Pacific Gas Transmission Company's (PGT's) Medford Extension Project; the Four Bulls site (35KL1459), the Horsewhip site (35KL1478), the Dead Indian Memorial Creek site (35JA300), the Babe Creek site (35JA 303), and the Perdido site (35JA 280). Treatment activities at two of these sites, 35KL1459 and 35JA300, involved data recovery of a sample area of potential effect (APE). Treatment activities at other sites involved analysis of materials previously collected during the testing phase by the Archaeological Investigations Northwest, Inc. (AINW) and comparisons of this material with other nearby Medford Extension Project sites that had been examined during the survey and testing phases." -- Opening paragraph of Executive Summary.
