註釋Three experiments were conducted to determine effects of active immunization against somatostatin (SS) on digestive parameters and growth. In experiment 1, 72 male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to treatments and groups. Group 1 rats (n = 36) were used to monitor antibody titers to SS, and were injected with control (C) or SS immunization ( -SS). Group 2 were used to assess the effect of treatment on growth rate, feed efficiency and nutrient metabolism, and received injections of C, -SS or +SS (somatostatin injected).
