This book is more than a first-aid book for all Christian backsliders and apostates. Aptly the subtitle of the book is coined as, "Revival Prescription for Apostates." We can all agree that backsliding is the comparatively harmless start of departing from God ( is it? ), which however unstopped or unattended, can end in hardcore apostasy. The devil's strategy to undo the Christian backslider is to drive him to despair and beyond hope. If there isn't hope for apostates then why did God record such a chunky piece of drama, of the battle between God and Beelzebub on Mt. Carmel? Better than wasting time why not just incinerate the entire degenerate-nation with God's consuming fire in one swoop?
