Descendants "Ebenezer Orange and Nathan Harvey Messenger were pioneer settlers in Windham, Ohio."--Page 22. They were part of the Beckert Land Company that were sent ahead of the main party and arrived in Windham on 16 March 1811. Descendants and relatives lived in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Michigan, Iowa, California, Wisconsin, Colorado, Kansas, Oregon, Washington, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Illinois and elsewhere.
