註釋
Questionnaire data analysis confirmed the plausibility and validity of the GPCLES as an effective instrument for assessing classroom learning environment. Qualitative research served to elucidate, enrich and elaborate questionnaire findings, highlighting the main contextual, socio-cultural, psychological and structural barriers to constructivist reform. Because the ultimate aim of the study was to guide improvement in educational practice in the researcher's own college (with the additional hope that some of the implemented changes might also be adopted by comparable, like-minded institutions), it concludes with an examination of a number of constructivist reforms recently implemented in situ both at a personal and departmental level. Proposals are also made to disseminate and extend classroom learning environment research through collaboration with other colleges.
