註釋
The pioneers of ecological architecture today are necessarily researchers as much as architects, in any conventional sense of the term. Sustainability is the key criterion in this field, and ecologically sound solutions for the designs of homes are the key challenge (homes the most commonly built structure).
Ecological Living
assesses a selection of some recently built ecological habitats, collecting several built examples from a variety of French architects, examining precursors such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Alvar Aalto and Pierre Lajus, plus proposals for European architects and architecture students and inquiries into the ecological viability of detached housing and tower blocks. The book is structured in thematic chapters, such as "Why is Action So Urgent," "The Precursors of Eco-Responsible," "An International Panorama of the State of the Art" and "Into Action!"
