A Shepherd in Space is the story of friendless and alienated thirteen-year-old Chris, who finds herself in the unlikeliest place of all, a spaceship headed for Mars. As the darkness of space beckons, so do the unlikely friends she encounters, who help her along the journey from the darkness without and within.
