Henry Cabot Lodge
註釋This collection contains both personal and political letters. Several are brief notes of thanks and recommendation, including letters to constituents and others discussing the Canadian Reciprocity proposals of 1904 and the League of Nations (1919), as well as on the Republican Presidential ticket in 1884. Personal letters of note include those to Genery Charles Henry Taylor (1867-1941), editor-in-chief of the Boston Globe; to Charles Taylor Tatman (1871-1945), eminent Worcester lawyer, financier, and powerful Republican politician; and to Aaron Coolidge Dowse (1856- ), Lodge's attorney and political power of note in Sherborn, Mass., and the state. Personal reflections, requests for political favors, and a drive for support in Lodge's Senatorial Campaign of 1911 compose the greater part of these letters.
