註釋Three aging techniques were applied to 165 deer harvested in 1979 on Anticosti Island and in the Lower St. Lawrence, Montreal and Outaouais regions. The percentage of yearlings was most accurately (100%) estimated by tooth replacement and wear. 92% were aged correctly by counting cementum annuli of ground and scorched incisors. The histologically counting cementum annuli aged 89% correctly.
