註釋
Brandon Wells and Shannon O'Connor meet on a kayaking trip after college, and propelled by their connection to nature and each other begin an incredible and memorable twenty-year journey together. Their love story is a compelling one, full of energy, spirituality and inspiration but tainted with human suffering and political and religious avalanches. After a few life changes, they set out on a series of trips that take them through villages in the hills of Mexico, war-torn communities in Guatemala in the 90's and the jungles of Colombia at the end the millennium. Brandon, inspired by Shannon's great outlook on life, finds success in his writing career. However, his sudden fame and notoriety bring him the attention of a few old enemies -- and a number of new ones -- who threaten to destroy the good work the couple have done for the neglected children of the world. Their love for each other, as well as their fellow humans, is put to the test beyond their wildest imagination. Norman Nichols was born in Colombia, grew up in Puerto Rico and lives in Long Beach, California. He is an avid hiker, having hiked close to 1000 miles in the last four years. He plays beach volleyball in a neighborhood league and loves to surf and skateboard. He writes for fun, but seriously commits himself to the characters and the novel as a whole. He says if he does not enjoy writing a story, no one is going to enjoy reading it.
